Build strong foundations
BUILD FOUNDATIONS THAT LAST
In my previous post i touched on different populations and what may apply to them in a general sense. Most of you being in the general population.
Now lets talk foundations. You must be able to walk before you can run weve all heard that right?
So what does that mean outside of the obvious when applied to fat loss?
Nutritionally that means knowing your food consumption. Food shouldnt be eaten to be burned off. This is a poor mentality to have. You dont fill up your car just to burn fuel for the sake of it, You add fuel to your car to get you to destinations which in turn burns fuel.
So use food to get your to stages you want to be at effectively.
Strong foundations nutritionally means hitting your daily protein target, include lots of veggies, water, healthy fats and useful carbs when required. Again speaking generally.
If you are given marco targets or calorie targets they arent there to be beaten, theyre there to be met.
Strong foundations means not looking at an effective strategy and not trying to cheat it at every turn. That causes confusion and frustration
Your motivations for wanting to change or improve must be powerful drivers that inspire you. If its a burden to you or a perceived burden thats in the way of the way you want to live then ??? Need to be asked.
Strong foundations physically means training smart and intensely whilst keeping generally active when you can and should.
Strong foundations mentally means not looking and pointing out negatives or failures when wanting to improve. Certainly dont add them on the back of a positive. Celebrate all your wins no matter how small, itll help put you in a better state or mood
Strong foundations mentally also means not taking an all or nothing approach. Its not 1 - 100 theres alot in between and youll often fluctuate. Acknowledge that some days will be harder or better than others. Persist with your plan of action.
Be kind but be accurate with your assessment of yourself. Strong foundations dont appear magically they are built. Those very mistakes and slip ups you manage are part of that building process so long as you learn from them.
