Day 13 & 14 the weekend!

Weekend was great for workouts, increase in food = lots of energy. I think Matt prefers training me with the extra food as I love to go heavy! Even though I increased my carbs this weekend I always start my day with a protein based breakfast to set my body up for the day.

Something you will notice when you eat high carbs and this happened to me at the weekend, is that you will be hungry all the time. So even though I’m eating more, I want more! Matt encourages protein at each meal to curb cravings and keep you fuller for longer. Our normal weekends consist of lots of working out and lots of rest.

After a busy week we always try and get in an afternoon nap or if we Cant get a nap in, an extra coffee it is! Saturday night meant pizza! Remember the happy dance on the McDonald’s advert? That’s me when I get to eat pizza! Happy happy happy, oh and some sweets at the cinema. Following on From Fridays with higher food days.

A small glass of Red Too!

I had to save most of my days intake for the meal but it was worth it. Was feeling pretty good, Friday and Saturday and my muscles were feeling pumped! Sunday woke up again feeling pretty energised and lean and looking forward to my lunch time bagels. Sunday is emporium day for us. Me and Matt enjoy having a session at others gyms on the odd occasion to mix it up and to use different machines to workout the body. So we used the machines for some back and some dumbbells for shoulders and of course, finished on the stair master urgh! Still feeling great and my abs were popping out! Well the top 4. I don’t see them too often, so I do love it when I see them make an appearance.

My body is starting to feeling really achy now after All these early mornings and workouts So Matts adding in additional recovery strategies. I usually work out a lot but tend to train in the evenings as that’s when I’m most productive. Everyone is different in this sense and you will know when is best for you. Listen to your body to have that productive workout. Still going for Full body training sessions,with a little conditioning and addition of abs. Oh I hate abs, I never, ever train them. I think I have trained them more I these two weeks than I have in my life. One thing I will say for anyone with a little extra body fat training and daily and expecting to have a flat stomach - it doesn't work like that. Doing crunches will not give you abs. Flat tummy’s and abs are made in the kitchen. Matts Rule is don't train abs unless you can see them! so as mine have came through...

Back to a lower food intake tomorrow for deficit. 5 days left and I get to know the results and take some progress pictures which I can’t wait to share with you all.
