Making an impact! Day 11
had a few comments this week from people following my blog “Terri, do you even work full days?” Ha ha yes I do is the answer.
I’m pretty fortunate and unfortunate in my role to be on the road a lot. Fortunate because when I’m in an afternoon visit and it’s too late to make it back to work I can go straight home missing all the rush hour traffic which is how I get to finish earlier on certain days and in turn get plenty of time to rest between my first and second job.
I’m also unfortunate that I’m sitting in a cramped up position all day which is not great after training legs and is certainly not a great poison for the body to be in for any length of time. This is what originally led me to practice and teach yoga. The art of relaxing at the end of the day, de-stressing from being stuck in traffic and stretching out my body after a day of sitting down. It comes highly recommend for both the body and mind!
Yesterday was a good day, splitting my lunch into two portions is working well and is really keeping my hunger at bay. Technically today was my lesser intensity day. So I started with a morning circuit before work and went back after for a quick 30 mins on the bike later.
Even on your rest days you should still keep moving! Go for a walk, walk the dog, sit on the bike. Anything will do - although just standing all day for your job doesn’t count as exercise, don’t be fooled. 10,000 is the minimum steps we should aim for that's recommended, which is approx 5 miles.
So let’s aim higher! It’s been a hard challenging journey so far, i'm doing and giving my best. Hats off to those who do this for 16 weeks. Albeit a different structured plan all around but the discipline is all the same. this 121 bootcamp is perfect for my short term goal and I am looking forward to putting on my dress again.
More immediately, I’m looking forward to my 3 higher food days starting tomorrow! Bring on the carbs. And lastly, I want to give a shout out to the ladies at work following my blog. It’s great to know you are reading and I hope the content is helpful in your own personal pursuits!!
