Days 9 and 10... over half way

Terri's Journey

I woke up on Tuesday feeling amazingly refreshed having had a night off and resting my body

I did a morning weight session with Matt working mainly on my upper body and came back in the evening for a mini leg session and yoga. I have now also started to introduce cardio to make an impact. So at the moment I am aiming to get 30 mins as a minimum on the bike and from next Monday I shall be increasing my cardio progressively each day.

As it happens I am on the spin bike as I write this. Multi tasking as us ladies do!

I've came to a solution this week to one of the obstacles of my day. Regarding meal timing and frequency. As you know when eating for goals such as Fat loss you aren't eating to be stuffed. Its disciplined, planned and often precise. But when you've had a busy day at work and in life in general; sometimes you just want to eat a little more.

So to sort of trick my mind and tummy, I have been splitting my lunch into 2 smaller portions and in smaller tubs to spread my food around. So now I am eating around every 2-3 hours and feeling fantastic. I’m not getting any hunger or 'hangry' bouts.

When you are following a plan it’s always good to re look at it along the way and listen to your body. Change the eating times, maybe change your choice of protein and vegetables. Try and mix it up, otherwise it can get really boring, un appealing and un-inspired, that’s when it’s easy to go off track. Its then when some one comes around with something that looks, smells or tastes delicious its harder to say no. So don't put yourself in that vulnerable position.

Matt Always says Never make a decision on an empty stomach/when hungry. This is when people are vulnerable!

Really looking forward to the weekend. I have 3 higher food days coming up. This is to replenish my body and feed the muscles to get them pumped and ready for my lower days.

Matt Explained to me that the metabolism will only run as high as it needs too. The body is efficient so it wont do something just for the sake of it. Once the foundations have been created right, you can give the metabolism a spark to keep it operating high.

Currently my Calorie targets are no where near where i thought they'd be if i want to lose weight, they're much higher (and i still was feeling hungry over the past few days.) Crazy to think you can eat more and still lose fat!!!

We always think less less less and often to no success.

It just has to be the right foods, and the right requirements seen through given enough time! Diet hopping is a terrible idea and leaves more people worse off than in a better place. the short term rewards end up with terrible consequences down the line. So if there is one thing i encourage you to do is actually see someone that knows what they're talking about. You know this by a few things 1. what they do for a living 2 proven track record and examples 3 assess YOU and keeps you involved each step.

I'm biased here and will recommend Matt for obvious reasons. But getting someone that can assess, advise and get you achieving your goals whatever they are is definitely the way to go!
