Terri's Journey THE WEEKEND

Sorry for my delay in getting these wrote up on the website. As you all may know is sometimes there just isn't time to fit everything in. So whilst I've been jotting down my points I've only just got around to typing it up. So to keep you up to speed Sat and Sunday are day 6 and 7 of my intensive bootcamp...

The weekend is always harder, as for many people. The routine of the week ceases and if not worked on there ends up being no routine at all which for many undoes the discipline and productivity of the previous week. However to be honest it’s been a quiet one as most of it has gone in a tired swirl this weekend! Saturday was all about 2 upper body work outs, food and naps! It was just what I needed. As this is my Priority we haven't planned to do much simply to not add any obstacles to my program. The thing i tell myself and it may work for you too is to tell yourself its only now and its only ONE weekend of many.

I also managed to fit in a bath using my Epsom salts to help my body recover. a nice simple unwind. Don't take the little things for granted.

I did have some great news this morning,

we did a 5 day review to make sure my body was going in the right direction and I have lost 2 pound and 0.6% body fat. So will we do this again mid week and check any adaptions that are needed. This is how Matt operates. Everyone’s body is different and sometimes things need tweaking. In my case. We added and additional 100 calories to my daily allowance as my body is handling it well and we need to make sure that i don't have negative adaptions metabolically.

Those who know me, know I have an injury in my finger, which is currently being tested on, so with all this extra working out it’s really playing up. Matt has been helping with this to using his KCE techniques. This is a soft tissue technique and Matt does this on me every other day to help with the pain and to increase range, flexibility and in some areas can increase strength. My food was full marks again all weekend, but Sunday was a killer! I was starving and once again had to resist temptation from cakes!

Let me explain Sunday consisted of a leg workout, followed by the stair master to get my steady state cardio in. On the way home I felt really sick and for most of the afternoon to be honest. My body had really started to crave sugar but I have stuck with it. My mum was practising making my wedding cake today and send me home with half because she didn’t want it in the house. It smelt and looked delicious but I resisted the temptation and gave it to Matt to eat whilst I had a shower (he said he was doing me a service.) I'm going to take the rest to work tomorrow. At least it gets it out of my house although I’ll have to watch them indulging all day. I’ll be looking forward to having mine at the party! Double portion!!!!

So tomorrow is Monday! All meals planned and shopping done. Preparation is the key with fat loss. Never put your self in a foreseeable position that can throw you off key. Although my friends and Matt laugh, I always carry my little Tupperware boxes around with me with either healthy snacks or a small meal. It saves me having to 1 - spend money - 2 - eat crap! I have burnt turkey meatballs to look forward to tomorrow morning - I left the oven on!!!! - after my workout yummy!!!! All in all I’m hoping for a good week and feeling confident to move forward with my food and workout plan.

2 weeks to go!
