Looking in the mirror...

Looking in the mirror and seeing the remainder of the journey rather than the part already traveled isn't a lack of achievement issue. Its a attitude issue.

Choose to see how far you've came rather than how far you've got to go. Acknowledge the results you've achieved not just physically but in areas you dint even consider.

Strength, fitness, endurance, mobility, energy, doing daily tasks with ease, vitality, mental clarity, happiness, raised quality of life overall. Are all hidden gems of entering a physical transformation and tend to come in abundance faster than fat loss. why?

Evolution dictates that our bodies are designed to store easier than burn so this process is a little slower than the others above. the above(s) can happen in a matter of days. Fat loss tends to lag behind in this regard but truly and surely comes with patience and consistency.

I had 1 client 18 months ago that initially couldn't lean down to pick something off the floor due to size, mobility and knee issues. This was ultimately the reason for taking up my coaching on a home visit basis... one day in a shopping centre she dropped her credit card on the floor and couldn't reach it, she had to ask a passer by to get it and this made her feel so embarrassed about her situation. 3 months down the line weight was lost, but the thing she was most ecstatic about what the fact she could lie down and stand up multiple times. The feeling towards this was more empowering than the fat loss. The fat loss became a bonus. This particular client is now rocking a size 10/12.

Its the little victories and success that make all the difference. Without these there would be no big victories. So next time you look in the mirror the amazing results you have achieved and think thoughts that are 'but-less' empower yourself with gratitude, acknowledgement and grace.

Its from these we learn about ourselves that little bit more.
