Fat storing is a result of excessive stress amongst other things. The digestive system working extremely hard to combat whatever current situation you may be in. Stress manifests itself physically, mentally and emotionally all having the same effect on the body.
Stretching and spending some time 'within' is an awesome way of combatting this.
I am a great fan of stretching out the body and all its benefits, I believe when done properly and with intent can bring about a great deal of calm to the body and mind. I practice and preach taking up activities like Yoga and Tai Chi even just taking 10-20 minutes to do some stretches at the end of a workout. (not before it encourages the muscles to relax which isn't ideal when just about to engage them)
Flexibility,Strength,Posture, lowered physical and mental stress are all benefits of effective stretching. As well as being an indicator of where your weaker muscles are hiding.
